Børge Mogensen - J39 dining chairs
Set of four dining chairs designed by Børge Mogensen for FDB in 1947 in Denmark. Model J39.
The J39 is a piece of Danish design history as it became the symbol of simplified design in Denmark. Because of its iconic status and the fact that almost every household had one, the chair was often called “the people's chair”.
These particular chairs are made of a solid beech frame and papercord seats. They were produced somewhere in the 1960s and are in a used, original condition with beautiful patina.
